About the Author

Oliver Pilcher, originally from Scotland, studied sculpture at the Edinburgh College of Art before beginning a successful career in photography. He has traveled extensively throughout the world and has worked with some of the most prestigious brands. For over a decade, he has been a contributing photographer at Condé Nast Traveler. Pilcher currently resides in New York and Costa Rica with his wife, Abigail, and their four children: Andalucia, Bianca, Constantina, and Herbie.

Alexandra Senes is a world citizen who feels at home anywhere, like a true asteroid with no jet lag. She spent her childhood in her native Senegal before moving to New York and then Paris. Senes worked as a journalist for more than 20 years, including eight years as the founder and editor-in-chief of Jalouse Magazine. In 2015, she embarked on a new venture with Kilometre, a brand that offers shirts and home goods adorned with hand embroidery inspired by up-and-coming travel destinations, sparking the imagination with visions of far-off and unexplored places.
