24-piece flatware set with egg case - Dragon in the sky 30 cm, "MOOD × Junichi Hakose", silverplated
- Order number: V112709
Christofle has collaborated with artist Junichi Hakose, a renowned Japanese lacquer and special craft "Makie" artist, to reimagine its iconic MOOD collection. The collaboration has resulted in seven limited edition designs, each unique and exquisite in its delicacy and attention to detail. One of the designs depicts two dragons, considered to be one of the four auspicious beasts from ancient China. The dragons are depicted going in opposite directions, one climbing up and the other venturing downward, creating a sense of protection from all directions. The dragon's expressions are highlighted by blue-green shells in the eyes, conveying a sense of movement and life. The cutlery features fine-patterned designs, such as the seven treasures, suited to the dragons. This unique piece is numbered as "3 of 6" and is housed in a chest made of stainless steel and silver-plated flatware decorated with lacquer, 24K gold, silver with palladium, seashell (Turbo marmoratus), and pigment component. It took Master Hakose 10 months to complete this exquisite work of art. Christofle continues to prioritize mastery of techniques and exceptional craftsmanship through such collaborations.
