The Monofiori Balloton Vase – a modern interpretation of Venetian glass art

The Monofiori Balloton Vase embodies Venini's ability to translate traditional Venetian glass techniques into contemporary design. Introduced in 2016, this collection combines the historic Balloton technique with modern forms. The characteristic surface structure is created by a precise network of impressed air bubbles that gives the glass its unique optical and tactile quality.

In combination with the soffiato technique, the maestro creates a fascinating play of light and shadow. Each vase is individually mouth-blown and hand-formed in the glassworks on Murano, with the oval shape posing a particular challenge for the glassmaker's craftsmanship.
