About the Author

Michael Verdon is an award-winning marine and aviation editor at Robb Report magazine. He has served as a staff editor for multiple boating magazines and has written about boats for numerous publications worldwide. He was honored with the Pionieri della Nautica award from the Italian marine trade association UCINA, which acknowledges foreign journalists' contributions to the country's boating industry.

Oliver Pilcher, originally from Scotland, is a photographer who studied sculpture at the Edinburgh College of Art before embarking on his photographic career. He has worked with some of the world's top brands and has been a contributing photographer at Condé Nast Traveler for over a decade. He currently resides in New York and Costa Rica with his wife, Abigail, and their four children.
