About the Author

Sofía Sanchez de Betak is a creative director, fashion consultant, and travel expert based in New York City, originally from Buenos Aires. She began her career as a graphic designer in Argentina, working on travel publications. After moving to New York, she worked at the prestigious agency Lloyd & Co. as an art director for fashion and beauty brands. Sofía quickly became a style influencer and started working as a photographer for top brands such as Barneys, Chloé, and Chanel, and was featured in magazines like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, W, Glamour, Vanity Fair, and Condé Nast Traveler. She created www.chufy.world, an online shop featuring travel-inspired collections she designs with artists and artisans worldwide. Sofía has been named one of Argentina's ten most influential women and has been on the covers of La Nación magazine and Harper's Bazaar. She contributes to publications such as Condé Nast Traveler, Vogue, La Nación, and Nowness. Recently, she partnered with Globe-Trotter and designed a limited-edition suitcase collection inspired by her trip to Greece.
