About the Work

Embark on a journey through the impressive architecture of Louis Vuitton's global boutiques in Louis Vuitton Skin: Architecture of Luxury. Authored by Pulitzer Prize winner Paul Goldberger, this book takes readers on a captivating tour, examining the Maison's remarkable stores from São Paulo to Seoul. Louis Vuitton's approach is unique, commissioning custom-made buildings with distinct 'skins' that reflect their individual locations and elicit emotions. Just like the premium products they house, each store's façade is designed to provide a visually compelling experience. This book spotlights stores with vastly different designs, underscoring the brand's innovative reconsideration of brand identity. There are six available covers, each showcasing one of Louis Vuitton's most architecturally striking stores around the globe: Beijing, Paris, Seoul, New York City, Tokyo, and Singapore.
