About the Work

G, a name cherished by discerning collectors and enthusiasts worldwide, stands as one of the most coveted private jewelers on the global stage. Under the guidance of the renowned Glenn Spiro, this British luminary established his own jewelry house in 2014, following more than a quarter-century dedicated to dealing exclusively in the rarest of gemstones.

Within his exclusive London atelier, nestled in the former studio of esteemed fashion designer Sir Norman Hartnell, Mr. Spiro seamlessly marries exquisitely detailed settings with a meticulously curated selection of unparalleled gemstones. Crafting a couture piece at the G Atelier can span years, a testament to his technical mastery, which has cultivated a devoted following among collectors.

Notably, rapper Jay-Z made headlines when he presented his wife, Beyoncé Knowles, with the "Papillon" butterfly ring, adorned with a mesmerizing array of 326 tsavorites and 342 brilliant-cut diamonds. In 2018, this iconic ring found a new home at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, where it remains on display as part of the permanent collection.

This opulent volume, adorned with original photography showcasing the most iconic pieces from Mr. Spiro's collection, vividly brings to life the essence of one of the most daring and innovative names in the world of jewelry. It celebrates his dazzling works of art, which have left an indelible mark in the realm of haute joaillerie.
