24-piece flatware set with egg case - Flying Pegasus in space 30 cm, "MOOD × Junichi Hakose", silverplated
- Order number: V112889
Christofle has announced a special collaboration with acclaimed Japanese lacquer and special craft artist Junichi Hakose, emphasizing their commitment to mastery of techniques and exceptional craftsmanship. Master Hakose has reimagined Christofle's iconic MOOD into seven limited edition designs, each a unique masterpiece of delicate attention to detail. One such design depicts an ancient Japanese horse instead of the traditional Pegasus with wings. The horse is sprinkled with gold leaf particles, polished to a mere 0.015mm thickness to create the red light of outer space, while the night sky is adorned with shell and gold stars connected by thin lines, mimicking the atmosphere of outer space. The cutlery also features flying Pegasi, with coffee spoons coated in serene blue lacquer adorned with finely drawn constellations. This unique, limited edition piece numbered "4 of 6" is decorated with lacquer, 24K gold, silver (with palladium), seashell (Turbo marmoratus), and pigment component, housed in a stainless steel and silver-plated flatware chest. It took 10 months to complete and will not be reproduced.
