ML Bodirsky is a German artist born in 1952 in Birkingen. Her preferred theme is humanity's place in the universe, their evolution, and changes. Inspired by the verses of Goethe's poem, she delves into the duality of the Ginkgo biloba. This tree has always symbolized beauty, strength, vitality, and eternal youth, with its leaf split in two representing friendship and unity in a couple.Bodirsky's Lady Ginkgo sculpture is full of appeal and elegance, with a silhouette that has the lightness of a ballerina. Like a leaf falling in autumn, the sculpture evokes both beauty and detachment, liberty and end.
