About the Artist
Louis Derbré, an internationally renowned artist born in Montenay, France in 1925, is known for his monumental works and continues the tradition of masters such as Rude, Rodin, and Maillol, who drew their inspiration from Antiquity and classical sculpture. Daum collaborated with Derbré to create a pâte-de-cristal version of his famous sculpture, La Terre, which has been exhibited in Paris, Japan, and the United States.
