About the Artist
Born on January 29, 1961 in Colmar, France, Jérôme Mesnager attended École Boulle in 1974. In 1979, he studied comic strips and co-founded Zig-Zag in 1982. The group of young artists brought abandoned places to life with graffiti, and Mesnager found his niche in street art. In 1983, he introduced the White Man as a symbol of light, strength, and peace, and the iconic white silhouette can now be seen on walls around the world.Mesnager's artistic talent extends beyond the streets, as evidenced by his crystal figure created for Daum. The piece blends the elegance of crystal with the natural richness of wood, with one side polished and smooth, and the other rough.
