Georges Saulterre, a French artist and sculptor born in 1943, is known for his poetic, powerful, and lightweight works. He is an expert in molding, controlling, and utilizing materials, using sandstone like plaster, glass like metal, and figurative and abstract forms. After the sold-out Argos in 2015, Saulterre presents Panoptès. This double-faced statue is inspired by the peacock, a recurring image of Art Nouveau, and honors the figurative art that has contributed to Daum's success since its creation. Panoptes is a unique piece with its double sides, showcasing the master glassmakers of Nancy's talent and technical expertise.
