The Veliero floor lamp consists of six modules that retain the simple square and are reinforced by their new connection. The wave with a core of light allows the parts to be freely combined and gives the luminaire infinite versatility.

The Veliero collection combines a simple, flat, rectangular shape with the sophisticated geometry of a sequence of sine curves. This creates a countless amount of waves of light that create a magical and elegant atmosphere. The creations in this collection are made by hand and are a truly impressive masterpiece of Murano glass.

About the Technique

The mista technique refers to the combination of several techniques used by the master to create objects of precious glass with a special character. The balanced mix of several techniques gives the work a strong character and enriches its identity.

About the Designers

Before dedicating himself autodidactically to architecture, Tadao Ando led a very varied life, working as a truck driver and boxer. His approach to architecture has often been described as critical regionalism and is reminiscent of the principles of minimalist aesthetics. Although he was strongly influenced by modernism, especially Le Corbusier, he was also strongly connected to traditional Japanese architecture. Tadao Ando has always applied strict self-restraint in the design of his works, giving them an almost "handcrafted" character in the definition of details. He is known for his exemplary style that combines typical Japanese materiality with international modernism and the connection and reading of spaces. A choice reflected in the almost exclusive use of exposed concrete, often combined with wood and stone. In 1969 he founded his own architectural practice, Tadao Ando Architects & Associates. His collaboration with VENINI began in 2011.
