About the Author

Jay McInerney is a highly acclaimed writer, having authored twelve books including the best-selling novel Bright Lights, Big City (1984), which was listed by Time magazine as one of the defining novels of the 20th century. He has also written for several prominent publications such as Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, and The New York Times Book Review, among others. In 2006, he received the James Beard MFK Fisher Distinguished Writing Award for his work on food and wine.

Wendell Jamieson is an award-winning journalist and editor who has been covering New York City since the late 1980s. He has held various positions in the field, including obituary writer, police reporter, and night editor. He spent 18 years at The New York Times, where he served as Metro editor for five years. In 2007, he authored Father Knows Less, a book in which he explored the unusual questions children ask.
