About the Collection

The Tiara collection is a masterpiece of elegance and power. The combination of glass matter and craftsmanship creates a perfect representation of solidity and perfection.

About the Technique

The Balloton technique uses a metal mould with small square pyramid peaks along the entire circumference of its inner surface. When the glass is blown, it fills the vacuum completely, creating a unique optical relief that looks like a criss-cross pattern.

About the Designers

Francesco Lucchese was born in 1960 in the province of Messina and graduated in architecture from Milan Polytechnic in March 1985. In June of the same year, he won first prize for his project "Traslazione", a folding chair presented at the competition for communal spaces. Over the years, his focus as a designer has increasingly concentrated on the communicative power of light and the expressive power of colours in all shades, which has become the leitmotif of his design. He is currently a professor at the Faculty of Design at Milan Polytechnic and lectures at numerous conferences and seminars at home and abroad. Since 1992, he has collaborated with VENINI on the design of both luminaires and objects.
