About the Author

Susana Martínez Vidal is a veteran fashion and lifestyle journalist with over twenty-five years of experience, based in Madrid and Mexico City. She has served as the director of Elle Spain and Elle Decor España and founded Ragazza magazine. Vidal has followed Frida Kahlo's influence in fashion, music, and culture since producing her first fashion editorial inspired by Kahlo as the director of Elle Spain. In 2012, after visiting the first-ever exhibition of Frida's clothing at La Casa Azul, Vidal was inspired to write her first book, Fashion as the Art of Being.

Lynn Yaeger is a fashion writer for Vogue, Travel & Leisure, Architectural Digest, WSJ magazine, and other publications. She resides in downtown Manhattan and frequents flea markets on weekends.
