Marrakech, a city located just west of the Atlas Mountains, is known to awaken all the senses. The La Mamounia hotel, which opened in 1923 and hosted Winston Churchill, is steeped in history. El Fenn, a collection of traditional riads owned by Vanessa Branson, forms a stunning boutique hotel. The annual Marrakech International Film Festival draws a prominent crowd, and Yves Saint Laurent's museum dedicated to his work is also located in the city. About the Author

Marisa Berenson, the original modern muse, was dubbed the "It Girl" by Yves Saint Laurent in the early 1970s. After transitioning into acting, she delivered dazzling performances in iconic films such as Cabaret directed by Bob Fosse and Stanley Kubrick’s production of Barry Lyndon. Berenson is also an author, having written several books, including Moments Intimes and A Life in Pictures, as well as Elsa Schiaparelli's Private Album. Eight years ago, Berenson fell in love with Marrakech and found the perfect riad to call home.
