He began his career in 1975 as a research assistant to Sir Anthony Wagner, Garter King of Arms, and has held various positions within the College of Arms. He was appointed a deputy lieutenant for the County of Lancashire in December 2005 and has been recognized with the Lieutenant and Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.Hugo Rittson Thomas is a British portrait photographer who studied Fine Art at Central St. Martin's and Goldsmiths University of London. He is known for his photographic series documenting high-profile London individuals and has also created series documenting master chefs and Olympic artists. He has photographed Her Majesty the Queen and members of her court, as well as other notable figures such as Prime Minister David Cameron and the Dalai Lama.
